Brooklyn Park

IT Services Supervisor

 

The IT Services Supervisor is responsible for defining team processes and supervising team member(s) in the day-to-day operations of the IT Services team.  Responsibilities for this position range broadly between communications and information technology administration.  This is a working leader’s role focused on ecommerce site administration within the commercial print industry, with a wide range of additional duties.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Provides customer service, digital print program management and technology project management for both GLS customers and internal staff.
  • Presents GLS IT capabilities to GLS clients, manages sales-oriented IT communications with clients and prepares written proposals for client-specific technology projects.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs the work of GLS IT Services (a.k.a. IT HelpDesk) team.  This is currently a two-person team, with opportunities for future growth.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for website support and maintenance activities.  In addition to internal clients, this role focuses heavily on both GLS clients and/or their agents.
  • Presents GLS technology-oriented product offerings to GLS clients.
  • Manage projects for complex interdepartmental and intercompany development efforts.
  • Documents IT Services customer service standards and procedures.
  • Updates customer website content with replacement content provided by customers and/or GLS staff.
  • Conducts internal testing of customer websites for compliance to customer defined requirements.
  • Ongoing administration of IT staff work queues and management of our TrackIt work ticketing system.

 

Qualifications required:

 

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong and professional verbal communications skills.
  • Strong written communications skills.
  • Experience working directly with B2B clients in both service and sales situations.
  • Experience presenting solutions and options to B2B clients in face-to-face and via remote technologies.
  • Experience is ecommerce platform support is highly-desired.  High technical acumen is required.
  • Experience in the commercial/digital printing industry is required.
  • Demonstrated strength in all communications areas including; face-to-face presentation skills, documentation and writing skills, and telephone service skills.
  • Solid attention to detail with heavy focus on electronic documentation of process activities.
  • Strong focus on organization and process management.
  • Strong computer skills and internet savvy.

Estimating Manager

 

GLS/NEXT Precision Marketing is a commercial print and strategic marketing technology company with over three decades of experience.  We are currently seeking an Estimating Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Brooklyn Park.

 

This leadership position includes direct supervision of all Estimators and managing all estimating systems and processes for GLS.  The Estimating Manager works closely with Accounting, Manufacturing and IT to develop and implement all costing for manufactured products and services and assists management with special projects or opportunities as needs arise.

 

Our ideal candidate will have management experience, 4+ years of estimating experience in a printing company, and knowledge of estimating systems configurations and utilization.


St. Paul

Project Manager

 

GLS Companies is currently accepting resumes for a Project Manager in our St Paul campus. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall account management of client specific projects for GLS. Oversee all aspects of the project which includes setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress of jobs for our customers. Project Managers are expected to multitask throughout much of the day. Must be able to manage constraints as well as analyze the time required for the project, the cost of the project, and the overall scope of the project to ensure success.

 

Ideal candidate must have 2 years of Lettershop and Account Management experience. Previous customer service experience within the printing industry, extensive knowledge with order, production and invoicing processes and systems and strong computer skills. Must possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented and operate well in a team environment.
