Digital Web/Hunkler Operator


GLS Companies is currently accepting resumes for a Digital Web/Hunkler Operators. This position is responsible for overall performance of press, to include, production, efficiency, quality, material usage, safety, maintenance on the HP-T240. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Load files on and off the DFE. This position will require a mechanically and technically sound individual comfortable with computers and transferring/set up of files.
  • Load and unload paper rolls on and off the press in a safe manner.
  • Ability to correctly make ready press from information on job ticket.
  • Correctly match press sheets to color proof.
  • Responsible to perform maintenance on the HP-T240 to HP specifications.
  • Learn and be able to operate Hunkler Gen 8 finishing system and run proficiently.
  • Multitasking abilities to keep both press and Hunkler running simultaneously when needed.
  • Maintain press run speed standards and material usage waste standards.
  • Responsible for passing off all pertinent information to fellow operators.
  • Read and understand job tickets.
  • Understand your role in the companies’ Quality Management System regarding ISO.

Press Feeder


GLS Companies is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Press Feeder on our multi-color Heidelberg 40” Press. Ideal candidates have press feeder experience but trainable candidates are encouraged to apply.This position is 3rd shift, 10:00pm-6:00am Sun-Thur. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties of this position are to include but not be limited to; Hanging plates, remove and gum used plates, fill ink fountains, load/unload paper, mix ink as required, perform ink wash-ups, install blankets and perform preventative maintenance on the press. Press Feeder will assist the Press Operator in all phases of press operations.

This individual must possess a valid Class D driver’s license; have a clean driving record and have a current medical card or can pass a DOT physical. Ink Jet Operator

This position is responsible for setting up and operating Domino Ink Jets. Qualified individuals familiar with running Domino equipment will be given preference, but we are willing to train the right person. GLS Companies is seeking a Variable Data & Print Programmer to fill a key position in our high quality, full service marketing & printing company. Primary responsibilities include: data manipulations, address cleansing, postal presorting, inkjet file creation & variable print processing for both our monochrome laser printers and our state of the art full color Indigo presses.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a quick learner, highly motivated and proficient on a computer. Experience in MS office, BCC Mail Manager FS (or equivalent), GMC Inspire (or equivalent) & Window’s PC platform. Familiar with MAC OS, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visual Basic or C# Programming a plus.

Credit and Collections Specialist


GLS Companies has an opening for a Credit & Collections Specialist on our accounting team. In this role you will play a vital role in the overall success of our team and company. Our ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong collections experience, be collaborative, inquisitive, a problem solver, and be a positive teammate. Supervisory experience a plus.


As our Credit & Collections Specialist you will:


  • Direct the collection function to optimize days sales outstanding (DSO) while minimizing bad debt and risk.
  • Perform day-to-day collections activities including reminder and collection calls, A/R monitoring and communicating with GLS Sales Reps.
  • Direct the credit function to qualify new customers through credit reference checks and potential customer references.
  • Work with the Accounting manager to establish new customer credit amounts and review existing customer credit amounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manage daily banking receipt reports, daily credit card payments and daily cash receipts.
  • Contribute ideas for improving the efficiency of accounting processes.
  • Perform other general accounting duties and/or special projects as needed.
  • Be flexible and willing to allocate additional time during peak times (audit, month end, etc.).


Skills and Experience needed:


  • 5+ years of accounting experience showing progression of accounting responsibilities
  • Credit and Collection experience including customer account reconciliations
  • A working knowledge of financial accounting principles

Web Press Helper


GLS Companies is currently accepting resumes for a Web Press Helper Position. This position supports the Lead Web Press Operator in overall performance of press. This position is on a 4-10’s crew and the shift is 6PM-4AM Mon-Thur. Ideal candidates have experience working as a second or third operator on web press but trainable candidates are encouraged to apply.   • Identify and move the correct paper to and from the press area.
  • Inspect sheets on the sheeter for correct side guide and cutoff position. Check for flaws in printing and alert the head pressman of anything found. Make necessary adjustments to the sheeter paddles and controls so the paper is stacked as neatly as possible on skids.
  • Operating the folder, make necessary adjustments to the stackers in order to provide a tightly bundled log. Monitor signatures in the stacker to check for scuffing, marking or wrinkles that may occur.
  • Make sure there is an adequate supply of skids, strapping and waste bins.
  • Ensure Load Tag is attached to each skid of printed material and move to storage area.
  • Assist with wash up, hanging plates and changing blankets. Clean and lubricate ink fountains when changing colors. Check with pressman to insure the correct color is put in fountain.
  • When starting a make ready, work with the lead operator / second operator to check the layout, work on registration, cutoff and side lay position. Make sure the printed sheet matches the dylux, rule up a sheet or stitch and trip folded samples.
  • Practice good housekeeping: Keep the press clean. Wipe the units off and keep the decks and handrails clean.
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed.
